When are T, U, V, W, X, Y, and Z going to be inserted?

I know, I’ve just not got around it yet. I do all my post from my phone and it’s harder to do that list unless I’m using an actual computer. I will get around to it though. Eventually!

Hope you don’t mind me asking, but how did you do this?
May 23, 2012 at 9:34 am
In all honesty it’s been a while since I used a proper computer to do it. I normally do all my blogging through my phone. (you’ll notice I haven’t finished my index yet) but if memory serves… I just created a new PAGE. Typed out all the film’s alphabetically and then highlighted each title and added a link to that film’s page. I think when you highlight the film and then press the link button, a list of your posts should appear and you just choose which title corresponds with your highlighted one. It may take some time.
I hope this makes sense but I’m going to go back to mine and have another look soon (on an actual computer). If you haven’t managed to do it by then, I’ll get back to you.

Thanks, will start working on it later today.

It’s not nearly as complex as it looks, and since you only have about 50 reviews to index, it should be even simpler.
I usually take so much longer describing it than Mark did (like I go into a whole dissertation), but he said it perfectly.

There is another way to do this that requires less work (once you’ve set it up and done the backlog) which you might want to consider. I recently found this out on my own and I wish I had earlier, so I just shared it in the LAMB forum.
Here’s what I wrote:
“I just wanted to share something that I finally figured out after almost a year of blogging at WordPress, namely how to make an alphabetic index over the films you’ve watched.
I had the need of it since just searching within the blog for a film title doesn’t work. You get hits for every word in the film title and end up with way too many search resaults.
At first I couldn’t find a way to do it, so I made a page where I listed films and linked them manually. Of course this didn’t work out in the long run; I kept forgetting about it and then I couldn’t find the time and motivation to catch up with it.
But now I’ve found a way! I nowadays have the films I’ve reviewed in a nifty drop-down box. And every new film I write about will turn up there automatically. I haven’t covered the entire backlog yet, but I’m working my way back and eventually I’ll have a full index.
This is how you do it:
You need to categorize every film review with the name of the movie. If there are commas in the film title, don’t write them out, since it will mess up things.
ONLY use your categories for film titles. Don’t categorize them with genres etc. it will mess up your list. You can use tags for that instead.
There is a widget that shows all your categories the way you want it. I went for the drop-down menu. Just drag that widget to your side bar in the appearance menu. Done!
So what do you if you already have categorized all your posts with a bunch of other words? There is a help for that too! You can transform categories into tags! Go into the menu “tools” and use the converter.

Well done! This seems to be a common problem for people. I finally managed to get through from A-Z recently but I’ve still to add my most recent reviews. I’ve found that if you don’t keep on top of it, it gets out of hand.
